Yep. I found it the old fashioned way.

I looked in the owners manual. They provide them for a reason.

Welcome to the site, but please try to utilize the resources at your disposal and some common sense before coming here and asking about every little thing without even trying to find the answer for yourself.

You're such a tease. :D

hopper, check out page 41 of your owner's manual. If you can't find it, you can download it from Denon at the link here (you'll need to enter your model number).

Nah, not teasing.

I googled "Denon 1610 Manual", scanned the results, and clicked on one that looked likely (the Denon site... D'oh!) I opened the manual and, after looking for "tone controls" in the TOC, I found the answer, in black and white, it on page 41. It took all of about two minutes.

I was about to post it, then it hit me...

Waidaminnit... Hoccum these days some, not all, people come here with the slightest silly problem without even trying to find the answer themselves? Is it laziness, or simply the lack of problem solving skills? How would they have survived in "the old days" before the internet where one had to actually think for themselves and research problems without whining on the internet and expecting others to do their legwork and thinking for them?

Again, I don't mind helping and answering questions. I actually like it. That's why I'm here but sometinmes, just sometimes, I think some people abuse the kindness shown here.

In either case, from this guy's last two posts with stupid questions, I'm not too sure he's not a troll.

I hear ya, Mark, and I was just messing with you. :D

Sometimes it gets to me, but then I remember how utterly ignorant I am of most things in life  :), so I give them the benefit of the doubt and don't mind helping if I can. That, and people just have different habits about how to get information. For example, my dad and at least one friend will take the time to call me and ask me how to connect something, but they won't take the time to look it up. When I ask my dad if he looked in the manual or did a web search, he'll say, "Oh, I should have done that." My friend is more straight forward and says, "No, it's just easier to call you." :D
