I don't know, I've been quite happy with how my ear/brain combination has steered me into buying my gear. I think I'll stick with what works & sounds pleasing to me. No need for me to over analyse things. If it sounds good...then it sounds good.
And some people are pretty happy with their bose systems, and other people are pretty darn happy with setting the treble and bass to +10db respetively and think that improves the sound. Others are happy as long as the volume on their apple earbuds' makes their ears bleed.
It still defeats the purpose of acoustic accuracy and transparency. We use measurements because they have a point of reference and a method of comparing towards a point of reference.
Quite frankly, the only way you can prove to me that bi-wiring is significantly and therefore audibly more accurate is to show me numbers proving it's significant, and tests showing people can in fact hear the difference without bias.
Seems pretty cut and dry to me to be honest.
Even if bi-wiring theory does suggest superiority (which I'm not exactly convinced of), the difference between 0.00005% distortion and 0.00001% distortion is what exactly? Nothing compared to the consistent 0.02% THD an amplifier is bout to have, or the 0.005% THD a preamp adds, or even the lower fidelity of a 44khz recording over a 96khz recording.
