Only one fan, really, and you dare write that? It's like going into a subwoofer forum posting that one subwoofer is all that you need, ever :D

I have four Noctua 120mm fans in my desktop PC and I got no more place for any other fan :D When idling (www browsing, reading mail, Netflix, etc) only the two CPU fans are running and the GPU is in fan-off while idling mode. Very quiet, and no dust buildup as the two fans on the Noctua CPU cooler blows down, cooling the chipset as well.
Yeah! That's all I need on the computer. I don't play any games on it and it always runs cool using an Intel Quad Core CPU.

I play games now and then on my six year old four-core i7-4770K CPU, and that CPU (a little overclocked) still performs nicely for me, apart from the various security issues that Intel has. In the six years I've upgraded the GPU, larger SSDs and more RAM, and don't plan to replace it for a year or two.

All the fans is to have it as quiet as possible.

I superglued a fan into my 5.25” bays, sits directly in line with my processor fan. Haven’t got into water cooling. I stopped over clocking many years ago.

No water cooling for me either! My overclock gives me about 10% more performance but I also under-volt to keep the heat down.
