Hello All, after waiting for years time has come when i have my savings ready to be invested on a good home theater.

I would be very thankful to all the experts if its possible for them to contribute. I have shortlisted 3 Home theater KEF Q950, Dali opticon or Klipsch 8060FA
.
Amp Marantz AV8805 or Denon AVR-X8500H /X6500H .

As i am looking initially 7.2.4 setup then upgrade it to 9.2.4. one sub will come with the home theater and other i am planning to buy SVS PB3000. Please guide..

Put most of your budget into the speakers and subs and less on the AVP or AVR.

If you get an AVP, you will also need some amps (11Ch or 13Ch total).

With AVR, you won’t need as many external amps.

What room size do you have? Why do you need 13Ch? Do you have 2 or 3 rows of seats because your room is like 40FT long?

If budget is limited, strive for QUALITY over quantity (less number of speakers).

Those are all solid options. If your room is large, I would probably go with Klipsch or Arendal.

Hello Jedi, Thanks for your reply

Room is not more than 20Ft long. i am happy with 7.2.(4 dolby atmos) speakers. Which AVR do u suggest AVC X-6500H / AVR-X3600 or 4500H or Marantz SR7013. The reason knocking this forum's door is the same. I am looking for quality speakers. and can go max upto £4K

My previous living room was 20’x18’x10’ ceiling. I think 7.2.4 is good.

Depending on your speakers, the Denon 3600 or 4500 should be good for 7.2.4 processing.

Pretty wide range of speakers, which ones do you prefer? You want reflecting Atmos speakers like in the Klipsch or proper ceiling mounted speakers? Are these sets of speakers including subs or just the mains? I assume you're looking at sets when you say one sub will come with home theater then you'll get an SVS SB3000? Why two different subs? I'd forgo the speaker companies' subs and stick to sub specialists like SVS myself.

Thanks a lot Jedi i will now zero in on Denon X4500H. Now before i move to speakers i need one more guidance from i have planned to buy Jamo S809 speakers for another only to listen music no movies or home theater but i really don't know which amp will go with that as the speaker says 8ohm 120 w to 200w. but i really don't know which amp to buy need your guidance on this. limit is max 300 Pounds as purpose is limited.
Now for the Speakers
1. Klipsch 8000F with atmos
2. DALI Opticon 8 don't know how to add Atmos in this
3. Arendal 1723 don't know how to add Atmos in this
4. Q950 series or R series

Hello Love,
As i live in a rented property so ceiling wont work for me so it should be upfiring or may hang on height (which is better)
As i am planning to buy as a set (cost lesser than buying individually but i will check if that's possiblei will do that only. This is my shortlisted speakers

So you have 2 different rooms? Like one living room and one bedroom?

There is no need to have separate speakers “just for music”. Good speakers sound good for everything - music, movies, TV, etc.

Which speaker says “8 ohm 120W - 200W”?

In general, most speakers with sensitivity of 85dB/2.83V/meter or higher can easily be powered with a 100W amp.

Any amp can power even a 1-ohm speaker if the volume is low enough.

The SALIENT thing regardless of which speaker and amp you use is to always start the volume low and gradually increase the volume.

Personally I don't have Atmos as I only wish to do that via speakers installed properly in the ceiling (and even though I own the home, don't want to deal with the ceiling at this time). I'd concentrate more on a quality 5 or 7ch setup. While I can understand buying a set of speakers can save money, I still wouldn't bother with a sub from any of these brands particularly unless the deal was very good (and then I'd want two of them rather than mix with an SVS).

When your 8-ohm speakers are 90dB/2.83V/m, you don’t need much power. So 90W-100W should be good for most cases (typical rooms).

My List of AVR's not in any ranking as i don't know which amp blend best with Jamo
1. Sony STR-DN1080
2. Yamaha RX-S601
3. Denon AVR-X2500H or 2600
4. Pioneer VSX-330 AV Receiver
5. Yamaha Music Cast RX-S601D
6. Onkyo a-9010
Just to add this receiver will be in the hall where i will be keeping Jamo speakers for the music only and it will have no role with the Home theater amplifier.
Do let mee know if integarted amplifier will suffice this need.

Thanks

What is the pricing for those? What appeals about these particular units? Why not just run the Jamo speakers off zone 2 from an avr for the home theater?

They all between 300-400 i am not aware of Zone-2 thing and how it works and also the wiring part. that's why i though i will buy a separate amp just to play music which is not costly but blends well with Jamo
i saw alexa amplifier how good it is.

Zones in avrs allow multiple speaker setups. to allow different content in different areas or zones, albeit with some limitations Why are you putting speakers in a hall, and what other gear would you use them with?
