Without having a local dealer that carries them (that I've found so far), I'm expecting auditioning them in home will probably not be an option at this point.

Quick update. I did stop at Magnolia on the way home from work and listened to some Def Techs. Didn't really seem all that impressive, but it was with music that I wasn't familiar with, and a questionable setup. Upon further inspection I would not go with the 7006, I would get the 7004 at least (helped by their financing). Of course it is a bit of bummer that it seems very hard to get a discount there on them. I did confirm the 30 day return policy and no restocking fee. However, the wife didn't want piano black speakers (see ya NHT classic 4's, hardly knew ya), so I doubt she would go for the plain black cloth speakers. So I'm undecided on them, mainly because they'd be a free audition.

As for PSB, I would lean towards the T65's. However I cannot fit the C60. Any comments on if the T40 would even be a viable match? From what I have seen it appears the C40 gets matched with the T45's, and the C60 to T55's and T65's.
