THX RECEIVERS

Looking to upgrade my AVR. I'm leaning toward the Marantz SR7012. Today I stumbled across an Onkyo that is THX certified. Are the THX receiver's worth the extra money?I plan on running 5.1.2 and maybe upgrade to 7.1.2 later.

Only down side is it has universal crossover frequency.
