Are Dayton and PE different?
They undoubtedly have a tight relationship, though I don't know how deep it goes. I was contacting Dayton though, not PE. I haven't had any special troubles dealing with PE in the past, though I'd wonder on the return policy of a kit like this if you build it and don't like it.

You are SOL. Just checked the PE website and assembled kits are nonreturnable.

But with what distortion? :p Other than that, no argument :D

I forget is it 30% that is the threshold for a useable measurement for CEA?
"Also the distortion performance above tune is quite good even at maximum output, but some vent noise was notable at the highest output levels." From about 35Hz-150Hz, the THD is within 10% THD. Not bad for $275 sub.

I have the BIC-PL200 and it sounds real nice for my use.

It's in quite a large room of about 28'x 25' but into a 60 degree corner which aids it a bit.

I know not to expect it to go into the low 20's for bass that you can only feel and it pressurizes the room area well enough for what it is.

It is very capable and both music and movies sound ok, and much better than without it.

I hope to one day replace it with an SVS PC-Ultra-13 but for the mean time this is doing fine with what budget I had to spend.

I paid $279 for it from AcousticSoundDesign.com.
