I thought the gold standard (Audioholic's standard) is from 20 Hz - 20 kHz, not @ 500 Hz.

I think you have to do at least 1 kHz.

The higher the frequency, the worse the numbers get.

The Marantz AV 8003 has SNR of 106 db at 1 Volt at 500 Hz A unweighted in pure direct mode.

What is the difference between using a 100 milivolt vs 1 volt, between 1kHz & 500Hz?

And if it is Unweighted, why is there an "A" in there?

I though Unweighted means it is not "A", "B", or "C".
