In case anyone was considering the JBL Loft 50 at $150/pair, I think it is a very safe bet to spend another $50 and get a pair of recertified JBL ES80's for $100/ea.

JBL MSRP is $500/ea. More importantly, street price is $250 each (Amazon).

I'd still bet that AA Monitors will give you a more neutral and accurate sound, but if you want JBL towers on a budget, buy these and not the Loft 50's.

Based on some JBL speakers that I have owned in the past - that sure seems to be the case.
