I bought something like this to use as my subwoofer cable:

http://www.dvwarehouse.com/products/22964.html
Belden RG6 coaxial cable 75ohm
4-5 USD for 10meters or 32.8 feet

its stiffer than the normal subwoofer cables I use, I needed it to look for a subwoofer location ... it works ok, but am I missing something? my local audio store said "oh, computer cable" when I mentioned the belden brand.
of course he was selling his own coax cable "quantum" brand for more 2-3 USD PER meter.

did I do good with this cable?

That's actually video cable, intended for use by cable TV installers. I suppose it might work, but it will be a bit harder to work with than some other cables.

I would have recommended something like:
http://www.dvwarehouse.com/Belden-RG59/21-SDI-Cable-100-Foot-p-22859.html

Still, I don't think there will be any problem with the cable you bought in terms of how well it works electrically.
(Or, in other words, don't throw it away and get something else. This should work fine and you didn't waste your money or anything.)

(The reason I said this is harder to work with is that it's stiffer, mainly due to the solid center conductor. The 1505 has a stranded center conductor and is much more flexible.)

i see. I was offered that RG59 cable, it was slightly cheaper, so I bought the more expensive one which was the RG6 cable.

If you can terminate it, you are fine. Subs are the easiest to cable. You can even use the F connector, then an adaptor to RCA. Easy.

I had the local audio store guy terminate it for me with imitation "monster" RCA interconnects. (5.50 USD per pair)

which in retrospect wasn't very smart ... the store I bought the cable from had RCA interconnects that cost 1 USD per pair
and I run the risk that my local audio store guy would sabotage my "cheap" cables :) to prove his expensive ones were better.

More expensive does not always mean better. :)

If he inspires that little trust, then I would simply never, ever go there again.

However, would he really risk losing you as a customer forever by doing a deliberately faulty job terminating your cables? I'd think he'd be better off doing a good job so you'll be pleased with his work and maybe more willing to listen to him in the future when you're shopping for something else. (Or at least that's the way I'd operate a business. Maybe I'm naive...)

Not in this case, anyhow. It would on longer runs of cable TV hookups:D
