I looked into that years ago and was waiting for it to come out. My interest wasn't so much home theater related. It was more intended to direct audio at my hot-tub-running neighbor who refused to stop running it at night. The part where Mr. Norris talks about whispering biblical verses into the ears of a terrorist - I was thinking something similar, but a bit louder...and more sinister.

I cannot wait for technology that allows me to place a "sound proof curtain" around my home with the flip of a switch. At night my loud neighbors will be silent. In the day time I can still hear birds chirping etc. Sound blocking is the other side of this coin.

Indeed! That was another thing that I looked into - either passive or active sound mitigation. It will be nice when we can achieve that. I'm guessing that the systems would have some emergency override for certain sounds (cries for help, sirens, and such).
