Think I will need an amp? (B&W Cm10s)

Bowers and Wilkins CM10s + 500 watt powered sub pushed by a Marantz 7009. That gives 125 watts/channel.

Thoughts?

Room is fine, but has an open back. Not worried about far back for listening, only a couch about ~2-3 meters/yards from speakers.

It is also a 5.1 setup, but most concerned about 2.1 for music listening for amp purposes. Volumes will never be crazy or "that" loud.

You should be fine given your listening distance and the sub. Set the crossover to the sub at 60hz or so and enjoy it!

Your 7009 should be just fine.
