Im very suprised that the police didnt arrest your friend for willfull endangerment & the state prosecute him,where i live near detroit michigan if you do something like that YOU WILL BE PROSECUTED ,some years back i was invloved with something along the same lines where i did something very bad to a guy who robbed me at gunpoint,not only was i prosecuted i was convicted & sent to prison.

People should not do something like this no matter how bad they want revenge because most state governments will put the hammer to them.

that sucks. my wife feels that I am an evil person for thinking that IF I ever get a chance to kill a robber ... I'd do it (or I will go out of a way to kill the robber just to end his robbing days)

we have a story here where a group of robbers were killed by the house owner ... one inside, two of them outside the house trying to run away. he's my hero. (no prosecution, just a pat on the back)

she's trying to stop me from buying a gun.

guns are cheap compared to this audio hobby.

update on UPS story

Happy to report the idiots taking stuff the UPS driver left that I mentioned earlier have been caught and charged. They stole over 20k woth of stuff untill a UPS driver noticed them and reported them...
