So as i was saying i had a faulty roy orbinson dvd (black and white). Now unfortunately when i went back to the store this morning to get another copy (all excited to hear the last chapters which were previously broken :) ), shortly after arriving at uni once the exchange had been made i started to listen (and a good thing too) it was a wonkey dodgey copy again .

Anyways when i went back to the store (now for the third time) they reassured me that the remaining copys had all been tested for this (known) fault i was experiencing with the DVD's. OK, so i thought considering i would not take it completely on faith and decided to ask if they could quickly check the last 4 chapters to see if they played ok. We went over to one of the new mac computers and chucked in the dvd, and guess what happened :(

the dvd had a fit grumbled and killed the operating system  (time for a restart)..............................

in the mean time the store clerk assures me there must have been a new batch that has come in and not checked........ hmmmmmmmmmm i still dont know if i really believed him. Anyway he comes back with 10 more DVD's, all still had the same problem last 4 chapters were destroying the computer, at least not all killed the operating system

Once i thought all hope was lost and would have to forfite this treasure, the clerk went away came back 10 minutes later  (at this stage i was not impressed) and i finally got a copy that worked, only the all mighty one knows where it came from, when i got the one that worked 100% correctly he told me he got it from a batch known to work from behind the counter.

Now if only he was bright enough to have gotten one from there instead of making this a 30 minute ordeal .

So since i started does anyone else have their own story they would like to add to the list..............
I will be hear for you, you will have a shoulder to cry on.....

That DVD is well worth the grief. Ol' Roy couldn't have gone out with a better tribute:cool:
