Saw this last night. Great movie. I havent jump from a movie in years but this one got me. The dts-ma was excellent in creating the atmosphere. That bus did a number on that old lady.

I kinda like reading reviews here. Cause the last 4 movies I saw didn't have an ending so at least I knew what to expect.

(NCFOM frustrated me anyways even though I knew the ending was abrupt).

Now I want to watch that movie. Hollywood horror never seemed to get me but I saw the trailer on their website and it seems well filmed. And as you said, it doesn't rely on suddent scare tactics. Only works for 14 years old girls. lol. As long as they put you in a good tense mood without exaggerating.

Movie was very well put together. Not that I was afraid but it got me thrilled up until the end.

No english audio tracks?! huh? Only spanish and french. So I chose the french!

Even though this is a foreign movie it scared the heck out of me.I wish I spoke spanish so I didn't have to read the subtitles.....

I got this a few days ago but haven't had time to watch it yet. Maybe middle of next week. I'm in a weird phase where so many things are overlapping and needing my time. I just haven't been able to set aside a few uninterrupted hours to watch any movies. If the weather is really bad the in the next few days I may be able to cancel my other plans and make an all movie day to catch up on what I've bought but havent' watched.

Finally watched this last night! So I now feel free to re-visit this thread.

It was quite enjoyable (and freaky too). I now understand the allusion above...

I think Mr. Shayamalan was driving the truck! Damn, he drives FAST!

Aliens? M Night Shyamalan? Mad scientists? Talk about spoilers, is there anything that wasn't given away...



...Just finished watching this. Great movie. I wouldn't call it scary, but definately creepy and eerie. I really enjoyed the movie. If someone told me M Night Shyamalan had written the story I would have believed it.

Hollywood horror should take a good look at this type of movie. It is definately something you don't seem to see these days often. An excellent balance of real drama, mystery, the unexplained, supernatural, and many other elements.

Just got done watching this movie in 7.1 standard definition dvd. It was a good movie, and I was quite impressed with the use of surround sound, both subtle and not so subtle. It was storming here while I was watching, so there several times when I'd hear something and think it was something outside, but it was the movie. They also use an old projector in the movie that makes little popping sounds as it's running. At first I thought it was my receiver and speakers making that noise, as my sub makes popping sounds when its lightning. Definitely recommended, unless you abhor subtitles.
