They should be called the Purdy not Purity for how good they look.

I love the black on black ML symbol on the driver. These look great and sound better IMHO.

Best speaker I have ever heard that fits in the room.

Upskirt shots.

RCA or ampable.

Very nice looking speakers!

I love the color and aesthetics!

I have never heard the Purity, but the enjoyed the sound of the Vantage.

If I had some spare rooms, I would add a pair of red Martin Logans to my collection!:D

Thanks Deftech!

I have always had a love for the logans from the first second I heard them. They are detailed, accurate, and bring a depth to imaging that I have only heard done better by a pair of big 20 maggies in a purpose built 2 chan room.

So for about 10% of the cost I got 2 speakers, 2 great built in dedicated amps, and they actually fit in the living room.

:D

The W even agreed to some room treatment now that she has "her new speakers" in the living room.

I've been eying amazon for some kind of 50% off Martin Logan deals.:D

If I can get the red ML Vantage for 50% off on amazon, I don't care if I don't have any room for them; they are going somewhere in my house!:D

Cool speakers. Make sure that you research and spend time placing them correctly to get them "right." They'll want as much room from the front wall as you can give them and only enough toe that you're listening to the inner 1/3rd of the panel.

And just fyi in the future, the speaker level input does not bypass the internal amps. No matter how they're hooked up, they're amplified the same way.

Beleive it or not, these sound fine in the room I have them in close to the wall. They would sound better further away, but nothing else sounded as good near the wall or farther from the wall. No matter the orientation these sounded best. The W said ok to some room treatments, so it will happen..... If I let her keep them... I may trade her for my RC-50's :D

I do know the amp is still in use no matter the method of conection. Some people say it does change the sound somehow depending on what you use to controll them though.

oh I believe it. But you really should pull them out and place them appropriately for the sweet spot to see the immense difference before you settle on what looks normal in the room. haha ;-)

Very nice speakers. Congrats :) BTW, I couldn't help but notice that you scooped up one of the new receivers from Anthem. Have you set it up yet? How does it compare to other receivers you've used before? Have you used the ARC setup yet? I'm just curious to your impressions of this relatively new receiver on the market.

Yes, the Anthem. I will do a review when I can. I only have my yam z7 for comparison.

The anthem is a loaner. Long story short, it's in my hands until I can figure out what I would rather have. I Just plugged it in tonight actually as my house has been a disaster area and no rest for the wicked. It's actually one of the best looking and designed receivers I've seen in a long time. It's also just nonsense heavy for it's size.

I'll take pics and go over the ARC system as soon as I can though. I'll put the link here and the review in the receiver forum.
