The Machinist Blu-Ray

I watched the Machinist last night on Blu-Ray. Quality performances, but I can't say I got into the movie very much. It's a sad story, which would be okay, but I just didn't feel like I took much away from it.

The picture quality is good, although the stark blues and cooling filters don't make for demo material. Sound quality is sufficient, the movie is mostly dialog, but I felt that some of the machine tools could have packed more punch and shrill than they did.

Its a good movie, christian bale is at his best. I've seen it on regular DVD, so I can't comment about blue ray. If you like movies that are twisted, and have a good plot, then your in for a good time. If you liked the machinist, you might also like the pianist, which has the protagonist going through a similar deterioration. also catch momento, on DVD.
