I have resorted to You Tube on my 55" TV with Google. It has been a while since getting out my recorded DVD's, of locations my friends and I went to, on some Saturdays. Those were the times/days we were able to see repair facilities and be in the yards in general. I had a Sony Beta camera and later on, transferred onto DVD. I have photos too. Ever been inside an active Round House?

I am back watching train episodes on my TV, using Google and YT. This is an off and on thing. Today, I was watching railroading in Burmingham for time.

perhaps your knowledge of railroading is limited, 'Trans-Con' is short for transcontinental. If this merger goes through, it would be a first(under one railroad), something that's been talked about for decades........

I just logged into to find multiple reports on member behavior. Prior warnings and temp bans have not seemed to taken fruitful root.

I haven't handed out a perm-ban in at least 5 years.

Yeah, I remember early into my railroad career back in the early 80's when American President Lines initiated the stack train revolution, 40', then 45', 48' and now 53'.

As for your list, #7(Trains magazine), had an interesting article regarding the recent CPKCS transition and the IT fiasco that unfolded mack in early May resulting in many a snafu. This was reminiscent of the 'Big X' , NS / CSX takeover of Contrail back in '99.

I suspect the above will give the STB plenty of concern with regard to approval of the UP / NS merger.
