The Incredible Hulk - The good one.

Saw this tonight. Never saw the first one, mainly because it sucked. This hulk fits in with most of the decent comic book/ super hero movies. Proper introduction, proper story, glorious action. I never knew the Hulk books, this movie just felt right. Along the lines of Ironman, with some shared cast(Tony Stark appears at the end). They are piecing together the Avengers story, and this is one part. The CGI was good, there is tons of bass, and the action looks proper (he doesn't grow and shrink, he's always that right size.

Got to see it last weekend because work closed early. The movie theater is about a city block away. Must say that I really liked it too. However, I did see the first one and can easily say this one is much better. I really liked the ending which seems to be a rarity these days. Lots of fast action bass throughout.

Cheers,

Phil

I concur, this movie is much better than the first movie. I was happy to see the Hulk looking like the Hulk of the 1970s comic books. Besides the Avengers movie set up, there were references to the Captain America movie that is suppose to be released just prior to the Avengers movie (i.e., the "super-soldier serum"). I believe both of these are due for a 2011 release.

I think Marvel is in the driver's seat now with their stories and we'll see more of them on the big screen :D

My son and I saw it last week at a Harkins Cinema "Cine Capri". They feature a 70ft screen, 40 speakers and 40,000 watts of power. Very nice movie - crystal clear video and sound and the Hulk looked really HUGE on that 70ft screen :D

I'm just glad they didn't spend an hour developing how he became the hulk. This one was so much better than the first. They also brought in some of Hulk's powers from the comics like Hulk Smash and his clap of the hands thing.

So how does it compare to Iron man? we where going to see this on friday and got deflected to Mongol - which was pretty damn good, and sold out! A foriegn language film sold out in a major cinema?!?!

Yeah that was weird.

Mongol looks to be very good.

Incredible Hulk was a huge step up from the first one. He's a little less elastic in this movie (physically, not character wise) which made it much more consistant. They also made many more references to the comic and the original TV series with the walking away while hitch hiking music.

Edward Norton, Liv Tyler, Tim Roth, and William Hurt all did excellent jobs. The cast in the previous movie are all good actors, and didn't necessarily "not" fit the parts they where casted for, but the new cast was definitely directed better. Edward Norton makes a part his own for every movie, it's movies like this that prove he's very universal and applicable in almost any role. I was concerned that Edward Norton might take a blow for this movie. After seeing him play Bruce Banner I am simply amazed at how he transforms (no pun intended).

Unless it's not obvious, I think Edward Norton is one of the better actors of this decade.:D

It had a better story than the first but it couldnt touch it on action. The first one the hulk was indestructible and supa strong as he should be. The new one he was struggling to pick things up to throw, he was runnin slow(was he just joggin) He got cut and it didnt heal. It was like he was just a hulk not the incredible hulk in the new one. It seemed they wanted to make him seem more human than super hero. And the abomination was kickin his ***. The hulk just didnt seem to have the anger that I am used to seeing in the comic. All he did was say hulk smash and choke him out with a chain. Oh and what happened to the madder he gets the bigger and stronger he gets. I guess this was their version of the hulk not the real one. Atleast the first one kept it real to comic pertaining to powers. I hope they read the comic before the next one

I think they did that, because he couldn't control it. I bet in a sequel he'll be able to control it and then, be stronger, yadda yadda.

Man I hope so, cause I was really mad during the last fight. I heard there will be 80 mins of footage cut from the film on the blu ray. so that may be were the real hulk is hiding

In the comic he learns to control transforming back and forth but he only has a slight control when he is in Hulk mode. Although when he joins the Avengers, Tony Stark helps him control Hulk form a lot more.

I fully expected this one to suck, so I hadn't even considered seeing it. After reading this thread, I will have to give it a try.

Overall, I also liked this HULK a lot better than the first.

However, I like the characters of the first movie a lot better (Eric Bana, Jennifer Connelly, Sam Elliott).

Jennifer Connelly is a lot better than Liv Tyler. And Eric Banna just seems to look more like Bruce Banner than Edward Norton, who is way too short and small to be Bruce Banner - like in the Comics?:D
