What's even more sad is Elizabeth is over on the Daily Kos apologizing for her husband. She is casting blame on the nosy media for digging into their personal life. She knew about the affair since 2006, and they apparently duped their own supporters. Imagine that.....using their marriage for political gain...sound familiar? Cough:Hillary/Bill:Cough

The funny thing is the OLD media refused to even report the 'so-called allegations' of the affair. The story never fully broke via the MSM until the Enquirer backed him into a corner and forced him to confess to his lies and denials.

....that makes Edsy look even more like a scumbag for standing at that podium in 2007. Maybe that's why his wife isn't shown standing beside him??

Edwards sounds like a real stand up guy.
He was involved with this women, while his wife had cancer.

Lest we forget McCain had many extramarital affairs

He had multiple affairs from 1976 onwards. He started an affair with Cindy Lou Hensley in 1979 and didn't divorce his wife until 1980. He married Cindy Lou Hensley a month after getting his divorce.

Just wondering if you've compiled a list of Democratic affairs, or is it one sided research? I'm sure that the list is equally exhaustive.

Oh brother...
Did Buckeye mention Democrat or Republican, or politics? Don't think so.
He mentioned the irony of Edwards' receiving the Father Of The Year Award, while banging his girlfriend, while his wife had cancer.
Seems like the thread was turned into a T i t for Tat baby game by others.

Anyone that doesn't realize 90% of "All" politicians are taking,
'we the tax payer' to the cleaners, is naive at best.:(

I just thought the picture was funny in light of the current situation. To be honest, I don't care who is banging whom as long as it's consensual and legal (in the statuatory sense). I prefer to judge politicians by the merit of their ideas and their understanding of complex political, diplomatic and economic issues. It seems today that politicians are selected according to their image, grooming habits, pet selections or any number of various criteria other than how they might lead a country.

Generally I agree with you. People in power, and not just politicians, have been cheating on spouses for years and in most cases it doesn't effect the quality of their work/ideas.

However, the biggest problem with this particular infidelity was it's non-disclosure given the fact that Edwards was running for President. Picture this situation- John Edwards is successful in the spring primaries and going into the convention next week is the presumptive democratic nominee for President... and then this story breaks. It would have completely destroyed the democratic party and given them ZERO chance to win this election. Edwards would have spent the convention pleading with his supporters not to jump ship, while we would have seen Hillary and Obama and every other nut trying to force John out so they could take his place. The party would have lost whatever remaining credibility it had, and all McCain would have had to do is remain alive and not speak (aka Don't pull a Dan Quayle) from now until November. While I'm not a huge fan of John Edwards, that's not the type of election the US should be having. People should have a choice between 2 viable candidates, no matter how much one side may hate the other.

It's just amazing how self-centered Edwards was about this whole affair. This is one case where he clearly never thought about the consequences, and could have ended up screwing his whole party.

I am sure it would be, but right now Google is flooded with the Edwards story so I can't find a compiled list. Feel free to find all the Democratic skeletons you can. None of it would surprise or shock me.

The point I was trying to make is for anyone in either party to say their party is moral and just is complete bullshit.
