Nice thread. There is always a story.....

I was working at an indoor amusement park called Spaceplex on long island, Its been long gone now. I was an on-site video game repair man. I believe I was 22 at the time. it was an Awesome job, and I loved it. Met many beautiful women back then.. oh, those were the days.. One employee said to me, Hey Joe tech, can you fix this for me. And my Nick name stuck. But I wanted to be original, and changed it from Joe Tech, to Joeteck. And have been since.

Very cool! Seriously, that is cool. BTW, I'm mad at you for posting that during my hiatus.

Yeah, right. :D However, and I always meant to ask, I thought that your real name was Oscar.

Yeah, the Rhode Island man of mystery.
Ivan Park, my older brother's employer gave me that name because he didn't like Alex much. It was sort of uncommon in Fla and feminine. People were always calling me Alice. Mr. Park owned a farm and it was a pretty masculine place. I've seen hundreds of testicles cut off and pitched into the fields.

Anyway, they tried calling me Sport, Champ, Tiger, Killer ... nothing stuck until one day the old man called me Oscar and told me that I could choose ... it was gonna be that or Felix. My brother picked up on it and that became the English name that my family used if they had to use an English name. Consequently my sister's kids and anybody that I knew through my brother while I worked for him all call me Oscar.

The ladies still call me 'Big Pappa'. :D j/k

Those two sentences don't seem to go together.

Probably just me, though. After all, I don't even have a card anymore - Dave keeps revoking it.

I went through a time in my life when I downplayed everything I saw. My common response to everything was "eh, I've seen better". I probably should have changed it to "ivheardbetter" for this forum though.

Well....when I signed up here, I was a Sergeant in the Marine Corps...but as of 1 July, 2007, I'm a Staff Sergeant.

And A/V kinda made sense on this forum.

I had a boss when I was much younger who, when he wanted you to do something, would yell "C'mon get yer *** in gear! Chop, chop...NOW SLAPPY!!!"

This might, or might not have been a deciding factor as to why I now work for myself.:D

STRONGBAD is from Strongbad emails on homestarrunner.com and I'm a Formula 1 fan (F1). I liked the fact that puting them together made the F1 "STRONGBAD" also. (all capitals because it's badder that way!):)

Here's a Strongbad link.

Well it's kinda simple. I was a gymnast for years, it wasn't my favorite event but it sounds better than vault or rings:rolleyes:
