The Day The Earth Stood Still

I thought "Day Earth Stood Still" was extremely LAME.

It reminded me of James Cameron's "The Abyss", which I thought was a much better movie.

It reminded me of James Cameron's "The Abyss", which I thought was a much better movie.

Of the three, the original Day and the director's cut of The Abyss, the new Day was definitely the weakest. In case you havn't seen it, the long version of the Abyss is definitely better than the theatrical release.

My wife & I watched it the other night,at one point we were going to shut it off in favor of plopping in the 1st version of the movie which we have in our collection,if it werent for the fact i'd of needed to dig out a vcr to watch it we wouldnt of finished the new version.

That movie had so many possibilities to be a blockbuster & the writers blew it at every opportunity,its a shame too.

I was in Tampa and watched it at the IMAX and it was not an A class movie. Nor was I that impressed with the IMAX presentation. Visible macro blocking and such in the picture I will watch it again when it is released at home for comparison.
