It was opening night at the cineplex...The Campaign. This had lots of good laughs, a parade of SNL alums, but mostly a hugely cynical view of American electoral politics. Sure, it was over the top, like any movie with Will Farrell and Jake Galifianakis, but like Network in the 70's, it was only a little beyond what actually happens and if you think it's too cynical, you just are not looking forward a few years. I really enjoyed it in a crude sort of way and beside, what other movie shows you a grown up guy punching out a baby?
