A pair of the RM7500 will put out more sound than 5 of the white van quality Bic's.

They are the flagship in the RM series for a reason and Polk produced a high quality classic set of speakers that are still better than most of the speakers packages that are currently out there.

The RM7500 are nothing but quality, they have tons of 5 star reviews all over the net including audioreview.com. A flagship product from Polk Audio speaks for itself.

yeah, i ordered the athena ls500's... now i need to get me a decent center to match. also curious on how to set up this system. on the previous page i gave details on my room configuration...

i wonder if the infinity IL36c's would be a good match with the athena ls500. i fount this deal on craigs list for $100. i know just because it has a high approval rating it might not match well with my towers.

A third one just like the front two. You want to match fronts speakers and center to maintain timbre which is seamless sound across the front. And actually, the absolute best way to ensure this is to have three speakers that are exactly the same.

The surrounds and rear speakers or the sub don't have to match exactly. However, some audio purists like every speaker excwpt the sub to be the same

I've already emailed Audio Adviser asking for dibs on any working returned centers or bookshelves in the LS series, since they have been sold out of them for over 30 days that they will not be available through their site. fleabay, craigslist, audiogon or some other personal listing will be the only way to get an EXACT matching center, otherwise the previously mentioned Energy center would be your best choice, second from that would be a mirage or older-generation athena center speaker.

Edit: Mirage Omni C-150 is the exact same as an Athena LS-C100 AND the Omni 150 is the same class of speaker as an LS-100, same components but a different orientation.
