I highly doubt it. The 80's music signature, while cheesy on the whole, seems to have a fun and care-free feel to it, where most of the pop music over the past decade seems to take itself much more seriously.
That's why I think the 80's is looked upon nostalgically and the one-hit wonders are so well remembered... -TD
