I have a Tevion home theater system. The DVD player is built into the receiver. About a year ago my right front and left front speakers faded and then stopped working. I believe the speakers are blown but I am not positive. I also thought that my subwoofer had gone. I was able to continue to use the dvd player but stopped using the surround system. My intention had been to replace it as I had run wires behind the walls of the room and mounted the speakers. However, we had a sleepover with one of my son's friends and they wanted to watch a dvd. They had trouble getting it to work and played around with the remote. In doing this they discovered that the subwoofer still worked and that the center speaker in front was still working. I would like to find out if there is away to test the channels for the speakers that were blown. I am afraid to replace my old speakers because I am concerned that there is something wrong with the receiver and that it would blow the replacement speakers. Does anyone know away to test the channels?
