tech going haywire

receiver onkyos 876, ps3 player, samsung plasma tv.
problem is, everything is connected correctly are so it seems hdmi out of ps3 into hdmi input 1 on receiver, everythings ok signal detected , until comes to plug in the main out hdmi,still ok but as it connects to tv the 876 display says no signal,is there something im missing, anything to do with hdmi 1.3 incompatible problem ?any ideas!

Sounds like a handshake issue with the TV and reciever. I would try connecting the PS3 directly to the TV to see if that fixes the issue, then you will know it's a handshake problem. Also make sure that the Onkyo has been setup to "HDMI Out" to the "On" position.

Make sure HDMI out is set to "MAIN".

ye mate ive done all that main out set to main out all assigned correctly inputs but thanks
