i,ve heard good things about systemaudio speakers from a speaker company called gamut. from there view systemaudio sa 1750 and sa explorer one of the best speakers in the world besides the gamut- L 7 model they make. any comments like to hear from any one who heard or demoed the systemaudio speakers

Okay, I'll bite.

I really like the System Audio speakers that I've heard, and I think they offer really good performance for the money. The sound tends towards "fast" and "open", but with better bass than expected from the cabinet and driver size. They image extremely well also (probably those slim cabinets again). On the downside they can tend slightly towards leanness and should be partnered accordingly, but when you get it right they are excellent. I would also say they are probably more suited to the size of European rooms as opposed to US caverns (of which I am insanely jealous!)

The 1750 is a great speaker, although I preferred the now discontinued 1280 at the same price. The Explorers (from the few times I've heard them) sound excellent: they're detailed and open, and can really rock. They make a killer combo with a Krell KAV400xi.

thanks for taking a bite i just wanted to get a feel from a audiophile who knows his stuff and speaks of facts. so can you honestly tell me that system audio model sa 1750 is a very good speaker for a room 15 feet in width and 28 feet in lenghth for surperb sound with all sought of music period. i wanna set up 1750 for fronts a sa 720av for center channel and sa 720 for rears or the sa 710 for rears. for a sub woofer i use rite now a tannoy ts 12 sub woofer. that out classes aci titan xl new subwoofer. really what i want from the 1750 is airy highs a surperb midrange and very good bass. my tannoy ts 12 sub can handel the really low bass for hometheater. im just concern can the 1750 give me that 2 channel magic on its own running in stero or multi channel

Truthfully, I don't think the 1750s will be able to fill a room of such proportions. I've never heard them in a room of that size so I might be wrong, but I doubt they have the kind of bass you're looking for in a room of this size. They have a very clean-sounding midrange certainly, and airy highs.

yes i was refering to you. just give me your impressions when you get the chance to go demo them at your friends house. and by the way take the b w 603 for a side by side compairson. and let me know what size room the sa 1750 would shine in. or can the speakers still play in a room 15 feet wide and 28 feet length room and fill it with surperb sound. and dont for get to write in detail about the speakers quality of sound with different music and movie content.

System Audio

Nostrand: I was down in Florida last week and stopped in at an SA dealer (www.lettherebesound.com), owner is Oswaldo and a class act. I have B&W CDM7NT (CDMCNT,CDMSNT, CDM1SE) in a listening room that is 16x19. They are driven by a B&K AVR 507 and Velodyne DD10. I do not consider myself an audiophile, but an audio enthusiast. I have a 7 channel setup and I do SACD but most serious listening is 2 channel direct. I did not get an opportunity to demo the 1750s but did listen to the smaller 1550s. You asked about the bass. I demo'd the 1550s on an inexpensive Arcam all-in-one dvd receiver at about 60 wpc, w/no sub. The bass was tight, punchy and like my Velo DD10 - very fast. These speakers are highly efficient and after being a diehard B&W fan for 9 years, I am going to sell my speakers and purchase the SAs. I spoke w/the distributor for SA out in California and he told me to spend the extra $600 on the 1750s. I will have to test drive them first. You have a bunch of posts here asking questions about the abilities of these speakers, but one man's ceiling is another man's floor. You need to find a dealer and listen for yourself. IMO, the openess, quickness, punch, clarity, mids & highs are simply astounding. I could not do an A/B comparison to my system in Md, but after spending the last 3 nights listening to my speakers, I know they are no match for the SA (and I am talking about the 1550s). I am sure the 1750s will blow them away. Here is the link to a review of the 1750s from HT Mag http://hometheatermag.com/floorloudspeakers/804sa/. Hope this helps.

yea phase tech velocitys v 12 fronts v 6 center v 4 rears and tannoy ts 12 sub woofer. i wanna up grade to speakers that i heard so much about and could never go demo them. but what impressed me about the sytem is what i read in hometheater mag. and thats why im asking about the speakers on the forum. i just had to have them with a review like that. so out of ten people who heard the speakers if seven or eight had liked what they heard is was good enough for me to make a confident purchase. ok
