What I got out of the review was that sub rocks and the rest is okay for movies, but doesn't quite cut it for quality music.

I'd lean towards Axiom M22ti's, S8s surrounds, VP100 and the SVS sub that is featured in the article to stay in the neighborhood price wise. (a bit more, but you get quality music along with the movies) Axiom's low end subs just don't give ya enough bag for the buck as SVS from what I've read.

As far as individuals in this thread Vs integrity of the reviewer. I'd lean towards the integrity of the reviewer as the low post count is a troll's dead give away.

Agree with all of the above.

But how will the speakers compare when driven with $200 vs $400 vs $1000 receivers?

Would you guys think it is fair to say that lower efficient speakers benefit more from quality amplification?

Do you guys think the Denon AVR2802 is enough receiver to drive these speakers well (in a room which is an acoustical nightmare)? Thanks.

Your 2802 would work nice with the 4-M22ti's and a VP100 with a good sub.

Where can I find out more about these? I read a couple of ba reviews about Axioms - but not sure they were this model? I think they make an on-wall speaker too (what I'd really like if I could find a decent one). Do you know anything about these?

Sorry to be ot.

I just got the Axiom M60's and VP150 center.
with the svs sub it is a nice sounding setup.

the axioms have great midrange and really have a wide soundstage in 2 channel as well.

i think they use the same drivers for the M22's and with a good sub should sound nice.

they ship free and if you dont like them you have 30 days to return for a very small shipping cost.

Im not advocating axiom because i own them but for any internet based company they should have a good return policy ,if no retail store auditions are possible.

The best place to hear speakers is in the room you plan on using them in.

there is a forum on axioms website,im sure there are many owners who would offer advice.
