OK guys, I got some great info with an earlier thread and I'm hoping you can help me now! I think I have it narrowed down to one of these two. I've heard the DT and like it. I haven't heard the SVS but everyone seems to luv 'em. They're both small subs which fits my "better half". Any experience with one of these two...I'd like to hear from you! Thanks!

I have not tested, or done any technical data on my own. But I would say that the SVS will out perform the Def Tech.

I would give the SVS a shot. My personal experience with Supercube subwoofers has been less than inspiring (much like the Sunfire True subwoofers, these things put out lots of uncontrolled bass). I would view them as "floppy" compared to the likes of the HSU STF-2 I once had. HSU and SVS seem to run in the same breath around here, so it's reasonable to assume their quality is very similar. Basic word around the campfire is the HSUs are better for music and the SVS are better for overall output. The SVS SB12 plus may be an exeption to the rule as it's not a ported subwoofer (which hurts the extension) but more than likely has tighter bass handling, unlike Def Tech super cubes.
