Hey

Babelfish then why are you so gung ho on the digms? Keep a open mind and test out other speakers there's no rush. I myself haven't heard the studio series but there has to be lots of other speakers that would give them a run for the money:). I myself love the energy rc series they for one would compete and besides this was meant to be a sub thread ;).

I understand that these speakers are basically brand new, but if I got that answer from the dealer for that kind of cash, I'd tell him straight up "Thanks, I've got some other speakers to audition still..."

I agree with all above... I really made my way around to sample out a number of different speakers, at least 10 different flavors, that I had available within 50 miles.. If I stretched it I could have gone further out..

He has a friend that has the monitor series, and I imagine he spent some time in his theater setup, which is probably why he is settling on them...
Nothing wrong with that.. If he is happy with his descision, great...

Paradigms are good speaks..

Now back to your regularly scheduled program... :)

Yeah, Warpdrv is right. My friend has paradigm and I am very happy with his setup. I have heard some other systems/speakers and I really haven't found anything that has wowed me (that I could afford :) ). I am open to other brands if I can find something else to check out.

I am not going to let the salesmen deter me from getting paradigm because that would be silly. I hate car salesmen but that doesn't mean that I wouldn't ever buy a new car. I just need to find a dealer that I don't hate. :) I am definitely willing to travel to find a dealer that carries paradigm. I would even be willing to travel to demo some other brand.

My problem is finding those high-end stores. Does anyone have any suggestions for high-end audio stores? There used to be a "tweeter" store near me but it closed down.

Thanks again for everyones help and suggestions! :)
