Thank you for the vote of confidence, and my receiver will definitely be used to power The Beast ON and OFF! The remote will get very little use, at least that is my initial plan.

Use the remote to change modes. You will probably use just Movie and Reference mode.
And, use the remote to change the sub level. Don't use the sub level knob on the back.

I do have one more question regarding that remote. I have an AVR so I’ll be setting the Low Pass to BYPASS. Will I still be able to toggle betwixt Reference, Movie and Music Modes via the remote? Will placing the Low Pass to BYPASS result in the crippling of some features of the remote? My sub arrives Tuesday BTW. Thank you so much.
