Alas... lower performance for the sake of having a 'brand name'... :(

Chris, First off i'd like to thankyou for your advice and second off it maybe lower in performance instead of building my own sub for the same dollar amount, But definitely not lower performance compared to other subs in this price range, also its should be a upgrade from my Veledyne DPS 10 . I really did appreciate your advice I just was not wanting to make my own

Well I think for some people they just don't have the time to build a sub. The SVS certainly is an upgrade, but Chris wants people to realize that a DIY option is really simple to do and much cheaper in costs. And since most people come into Audio thinking everything is complicated I'm glad he points out the simplicity of speakers and subs.

And with him and Andrew giving us such simple designs with great output. I think following their advice is wise. Just because you got an SVS now doesn't mean you can't explore the DIY option in the future. Best of luck and enjoy your new toy SVS makes good commercial subs.

Yes Thats true I didnt really want or have the time now to do A DIY SUB But like I said I really did appreciate chris trying to steer me in the wright direction and the more cost effective one. It was very kind of him to make me a parts list with a price comparison, to do that says a lot about chris that he's a good guy trying to help folks like myself out and let it be known it didnt go unoticed. Who knows now that i'll have a decent sub and I wont feel rushed to build one in a hurry I can in the future DYI A NICE MONSTER 1000 WATT sub 12 or 15 inch and i'll have Chris to thank :)
