Both great subs, but I would go with the Monolith. It does have a performance advantage in the low end. But it is much larger and heavier.

Does the Sony H590 have DSP? I read on YouTube that the SVS is better for people that don’t have a DSP (whatever that is)

It means digital signal processing (dsp)
The svs will have three bands of eq available but unless you take frequency response measurements it’s not that helpful since you won’t know what to boost or reduce anyway. I agree with the monolith.

Yeah you have to have REW to know what's going on with EQ bands. Otherwise it's like playing darts blindfolded. Your just throwing changes out there and you don't even know if anything even hit the board
