Which one should I get?

Click to expand... Does the Sony H590 have DSP? I read on YouTube that the SVS is better for people that don’t have a DSP (whatever that is)

William Lemmerhirt Audioholic Overlord Sep 27, 2023 #4 It means digital signal processing (dsp) The svs will have three bands of eq available but unless you take frequency response measurements it’s not that helpful since you won’t know what to boost or reduce anyway. I agree with the monolith.

lovinthehd Audioholic Jedi Sep 27, 2023 #5 FWIW the Sony has their basic DCAC setup program but wouldn't expect it to do much for detailed sub setup (see auto setup on page 26 https://www.sony.com/electronics/support/res/manuals/4726/55cd375e0f9e7103f2b6baa747ed9072/47269061M.pdf ). Might be helpful to use the onboard dsp in a sub, but I'd rather have external dsp/control and capable of multiple subs. Overall I'd still rather have the higher performing sub myself, so another vote for the Monolith.

Your just throwing changes out there and you don't even know if anything even hit the board
