SVS MTS-01 Speakers

Hi again, i thought i could give my opinion on my MTS-01 although i am by no means a philly.
My first thoughts when i opend my speakers were that these things are VERY well built and the rosenut sides are better than my top grade furniture is, i hooked them up (the binding posts are also very heavy duty) with my Better cables and then put in Celine Dion to test out these new tweters and let me tell you that these things are awsome all the way to ear piericing loud they are crystal clear as well as the mids, these are by far the best speakers i have ever listend to!
I also had both of my speakers damaged during shipping but i already have my new set just 3 days later, SVS is a tp notch company and i will be buying more things from them and also am looking forward to their new LTS speakers coming out but i find it hard to see how they can be better than these but like i said i am no pro just my 2 cents so take it as you will.

Hey CaptainKirk...
Did you replacement speakers come with the Floorbars in a second box...

I think that is where the problems came from.. The bars are very heavy, and they are in the box at the top... and when they dropped them, the bars did the damage.. My bars came in a seperate box with my replacement speaker.

Yes my floor supports came in a 3rd box and they put more foam around the peakers also.

Thought you guys would like to see the Pics I took last night.. both of layout, and driver removal, build quality is top notch... bracing is heavy, external walls are more then 1'' thick...

Don't mind my non painted or decorated room, that will be next...

Finalized the install of my bedroom setup, clean, no equipment...

I kind of wish i would have got the PB 13 ultra but i am very happy with this one and really dont know how one could be any better, this does every thing i would ever want and more shakes the whole house and sounds great doing it.

Everything I have I am very happy with...
I have already spent more then I needed to this month already... I have a whole list of things I have to do this year - painting, decorating, and carpeting, remodeling my walk in shower... possibly tile floors..


Mazer, congrats... now for the reviews, and I know your doing a speaker shootout... What do you think so far? Pretty damn nice eh...

If you have heard the Ascend Sierra 1, I would love to know what your think of differences...

I can say I am very impressed with their looks and finish. Outstanding. I can say you have no idea how large these speakers are. WOW

You aint kidding here buddy... those things are seriously large and heavy, imagine trying to hoist them up by yourself to hang on the wall -
I did that by myself for both of them... and they stick out of the wall like a soar thumb, because they are so big.. in a huge room, not such a big deal, but in my small bedroom, GYNORMOUS !!

Think about what you get here, very heavy and very low resonance cabinets.
Im estimating here, but I imagine that with the side panels on, the sides are about 1.5" thick..

I cannot stress enough how extremely well built they are... just wait until you hear them... what speakers does majorloser have that you will be testing against... ?
