These speakers where on display at CES. Hopefully somone saw them. I don't know if audiohlolics covered these while they where there.

Anyway who buys some of these or herd them at CES please chime in.

Thanks.

I haven't seen or heard them, but I am very confident that SVS has put together a fine product. Very high quality components were used to build those speakers. I have high hopes for them. Now, we just have to play the waiting game until someone has time to put together a review! ;)

I have to agree I think these speakers will help really show that SVS can be a sound company and not just a subwoofer company and it should raise interest for the LTS line as people wonder what SVS is capable of doing with more money.

I guess I'm behind the times a bit...what is this MBS-01? I was looking at the MTS-10 but the center is a bit too large to fit in the space allocated for it in my AV stand and the bookshelves won't work for surrounds for me because they are too large and heavy.

Guess I need to check into the SVS website and see what new offerings are coming...

The Bookshelves are weighing in a 27lbs.. But the still offer a wall mount for them, they made threaded mounting holes in the back specifically for the Omnimount 30.0 which is I believe a 4 bolt bracket. I have been investigating, as I will be wall mounting my surrounds.

Nice looking, the Piano Black bookshelf is really cool... Thanks for posting the pics here... I'm psycked...

I hear ya Mazer.... I think the difference is that the speakers don't come with drama... and usually speak to you the right way...

The more I look at the Piano Black, I think those look the best out of them all...

The lines of the flat black blend better with the Piano... I'm getting the rosenut, and that looks fantastic too, but the black is really something...

I agree. I admit that, initially, when seeing them on their site that I wasn't that impressed. Not that I disliked them...but from a looks standpoint, I didn't think they looked that refined. I dunno...something about those rounded off tops and the textured fronts and backs. Again, they didn't seem bad, just not, well, as I said, refined.

But now, seeing an actual picture and not a product shot, my opinion has changed a bit. They look pretty dang sharp.

I would love to have a nice MTS 7.1 setup to go along with my PC+ sub, I think it would be a match made in heaven. Maybe one day I will be able to afford a 7.1 LTS setup when it comes out, along with dual Ultra 13 subs.

Also agree the CAD shots were not the greatest, they would do well to put new photo's up on the site.
I'm not concerned as much with what the drivers look like, the grills will be on, its all in how they sound.. :)

I for one like the fact that the bookshelf speakers 27lbs weigh more then my Paradigm Studio 20's (21lbs) ... beefier means to me a more sturdy cabinet.

Check out this bold statement...

From AVS

Again, folks, I'm no audio expert, but the demo that the SVS team did at CES was really impressive. I thought the MTSes sounded comparable - perhaps a bit better - than a similar 7.1 demo of an Aerial Acoustics Model 9/CC5 setup I saw recently - which represented an entirely different price point. Interestingly, while the Aerial demo had, oh, $14K of electronics/amplification around it, I think Ron was driving his demo with a simple Denon 38xx series AV receiver? For the price, I think SVS has something special here.

Again, although I'm quite impressed, I am looking forward to hearing the reviews of folks like Craigsub and others who have better ears and more points of comparison. If those other reviews all come back with similar impressions and glowing reviews, then I think we may be watching something very special in the industry...
