You really need two subs, if only for the sake of symmetry. That empty spot on the right between the speaker and cabinet is really bothering my inner autist...

I agree and IIRC his music room has tall ceiling and opens up to the kitchen, a lot of open space to fill with LFE.
His other SVS is in a room about the same size or larger and will shake your guts I have spent so much time at Mike's jamming his Klipsch with that SVS I am saving for one now, for sure my next upgrade.
