sv subwoofers - PCi vs PCi plus

Hi again, I am replacing my onkyo home theater in a box with new equipment. I already have a yamaha RXV2500 receiver, Polk Csi5 center, Polk FXi5 surround, and Polk monitor 60 front speakers. I am interested in a subwoofer and it seems that many of the posts support SVS. I am looking at the SVS 20-39PCi and the SVS 20-39PCi Plus. Is there a reason to buy the more expensive one? Is it $226 better than the PCi?

I have also read about polk and yamaha brightness. I don't understand what that means and I haven't had a headache yet. Should I be concerned?

I think I will also have to upgrade the front speakers, if I don't get polk should I be concerned about matching the polk center which i really like? Which brands would match?

Just a note, the onkyo 6 dvd player was MUCH better than the yamaha C750.

.....Fratt, the comparison is simply subwoofer element against subwoofer element....the "plus" element, a good deal more heavy, has more total excursion for cleaner oscillations, and the amp section is probably different, with the Plus sub having a higher-powered such animal amp section....I've never heard a PCi element, but the Plus elements I can say, are powerful when they need to be, and emit very clean oscillations.....

.....edit....very clean and "defined" oscillations....just the facts, ma'am.....

PCi = football player
PC+ = body builder
PC Ultra - Superman
Mule's B4s - Insanity, but in a good way :D

You should get Polk RTi series mains to match the CS center.

.....JGarcia, I appreciate the thoughts, but honestly, I don't listen loud....I just don't have to....what the B4's put out is just getting good when it hits your carcus at 12-13 feet....I'm fortunate to have them, thanks to Tom, and PB 10's would be my second choice....twelve of 'em, haha.....

With two of those beasts, I'm sure you don't have to listen loud to get plenty of smooth, clean sub-woofage :)
