Does anyone have either the S or M series speakers from SV Sound? Im interested in either the STS-02 floorstanders or the MBS-01 bookshelf speakers. I would love the M series towers, but I doubt the wife will go for me spending that much.

On a side note, does anyone have speakers from eDesign Audio? Im rather intrigued by their selection and prices.

I have the M-series towers and center. Nice speakers. I listen to mostly rock music and movies of course. The thing that stands out the most in my opinion is movies. I don't find myself saying "what did he say?" very often. Speech intelligibility is very good.

I just ordered an entire SVS 7.1 system with the 12" sub upgrade (PB-12NSB). Got the STS-02 towers for mains, SSS-02 bipoles for sides, and SB-02s for the back (SCS-02 for the mid). I've heard the towers rival Salks. Late Sept. delivery...can't wait.

Don't take it too seriously...PM on another forum. It was one of those "I heard someone said...". I have nothing solid to go on regarding SVS products other than what I've read on forums. But if the new STS-02 slim towers are anything like the rest of the SVS line, they'll be pretty competitive with about anything that's even close to their price range and with many products considerably above their price. Being truly competitive with something like a Salk Song Tower is a tall order and remains to be seen, but I'll stick my neck out and say the SVS STS-02s will hold their own. If what I read about the SVS line on more than one forum carries any credibility I think you and I are in for a real treat. Having said that, I'm going to be re-equipping my downstairs listening room in the future and I'm seriously considering Salk Song Towers in a 5.1 system...just to cover all my bases. SVS 7.1 upstairs, Salk 5.1 downstairs. How bad can that be? Then I'll have to stop for awhile...running out of cash.

Once you get those Salks and the SVS towers, set them up in the same room and do a comparison so we'll have something more than hearsay! I would be surprised if the SVS could be a serious challenge to the Salks but SVS is known for impressive products!

Yeah, I have to get the upstairs SVS system up and running first. Like I said above, it's due late this month.
Right now I have a 14 y/o Eosone 5.1 system in my downstairs family/listening room. Still sounds very good. It's the one with the small bookshelf speakers and a sub. But I'm a little concerned about its age. It has a lot of hours of heavy use since I've used it to practice playing my guitar along with CDs. I'm strongly considering replacing it with a new speaker system and I'm thinking about a Salk 5.1 system using Song Towers for the mains. Just considering it for the future, no immediate plans. I just purchased 2 new Panasonic HDTVs so I'll need to accumulate some cash again for another speaker system. But it shouldn't take too awful long. Maybe sometime after the first of the year? We'll just have to see.
But for now I'm really pumped to hear the new SVS system for the upstairs. I'll let you know what I think. BTW, I just noticed a thread about SVS speakers on the AVS forum ("Official SVS LTS Rumor Mill Thread"). Should be an interesting thread for those curious about SVS speakers.

Hows the low end extension on the STS? The reason i ask, is that per the website the MBS extends about 12hz lower to 48hz. The price is about the same, granted i would need to get stands or something for the bookshelfs. I would use them about 80% for home theater, but I do want them to shine with music.

Couldn't have said it any better. People always comment on how clear speech is during movies.

Can you recommend stands for the SSS-02? Or did you wall mount them?
