Surrounds worth it in this room ??

The couch is too wide to place them on the sides except on the right surround.
I could also try different speakers like bipoles or cheaper towers as surrounds . I like the effects for movies but for tv they seem minimal.

You can stop wasting people's time by posting only to say I can't do this. Won't do that.

OP's been asking the same question on AVS for a few years...yet it remains as is.
Just wants attention.

What a total waste of time and money,, It might be an idea to clean out all the crap infesting the floor space. and buy yourself a rug, to cover all the hard services

Rugs cost money though. ;)
He hasn't had a job or money for years.

On AVS, he posted he finally got a job at a gas station (complaining about whether he was going to be paid for watching training videos)...then he came here posting about foot pain (from the job presumably) since forum members there are tired of his non-stop whining. (and here too)

And how do we know all his troubles ? He posts them like Audioholics and AVS are personal help and/or sympathy forums.

I have a rug but the cat bed is hardly ever used.

Couch placement ruined any chance of surrounds being proper . If I used satellites instead one side would be close and one side far away like 3-4 feet difference. Not sure if eq would fix that.

Does this look better?? I gave up on the speakers in the middle of the room.

it may not work if I dislike the sound of the smaller drivers though.

Subs aren’t that good but I can’t fit anything better were the silver one is. Gotta wait until I have more money to upgrade anything.

Do you just like the abuse??
The surrounds worked fine I switched to bipoles not jamos I hated the satellites , but I may as well give up on these subs until I get something better. I don’t know why I brought them up in this thread oops. Off topic.

Ok! Good luck!

I couldn’t find a tv stand with enough room for a big onkyo receiver and a center channel there either too high or too wide for this tiny room. I’m not aloud to wall mount it or bring my only decent sub downstairs. Not that I could turn it up loud anyways but it sounds way better than what I’m using now even on low volume. Sometimes I just run 2ch and shut the current sub off.

Surrounds only do like 10% of a soundtrack right?
I'll just remind you all that the OP have some personal issues he struggles with.
insomnia is a nightmare plus other issues sometimes I don’t sleep at all.
this room is not big enough for proper surrounds I set up bipolars they sound good but it’s just pseudo surround. No we’re near as good as my old setup. In the room upstairs that’s a plant room now.
