Right now I have PSB MKII for my front speakers and a PSB 100C for a centre speaker. I went and bought two sets of Klipsch SS .5 speakers for the rear surround. Was this a good idea or should I just buy one good pair of rear speakers(and if so what kind? reasonablly priced)?????? I haven't opened them yet, now that I think I should get a more powerful speaker for the rear. The rears are going to be used mostly for movies. I have the Onkyo 606 reciever with 7.1. Please help!!

If you have a 7.1-speaker system with your Onkyo TX-SR606, assuming that your room is big enough, go for 7 speakers (4 surrounds).

* Also, why not get all of them from PSB, that way they'll be better 'timbre match'.

Because they are still in their box (the Klipsch), I will return them,
and get two pairs of PSB speakers for your four surrounds.
They don't have to be big, as your subwoofer will take care of the lows.
PSB makes some nice speakers and are good value too (reasonably priced).
One with a 5" woofer should do it. Just cross them at 80hz, or 100hz if they sound better that way.

You do have a sub, do you?

Yes I do have a sub! Okay sounds good I will look at PSB's, thanks for that suggestion. Also, the room is a smaller room, 12'X12'. I might move the equipment in to the longer family room one day so I just thought I would buy all speakers needed. Would I get a better quality sound going with just one pair of PSB's in this room size, or two sets of klipsch, or for any room size??? I heard some speakers at a store here in Edmonton and just one pair sounded excellent, but they were $600 for a pair. I just feel there sound was nowhere near comparable from these Klipsch. And also, he suggested a 6" woofer/ 1" tweeter.

Well I believe surrounds aren't as critical as the front lcr speakers as far as all being the same because the amount of info they get is far less. That being said if you can get the same speakers and can afford it then great but if not a good quality speaker will be fine so don't go crazy trying to match them exactly. I have very large fronts so useing surrounds that are the same would be impossible so I just bought 2 pair of these,http://www.cambridgesoundworks.com/store/category/clr_surround/53CW0010AA001-8/ and they sound great. Good luck.:)

For your room, and in most living/family room situations, a 5.1 setup is sufficient and the PSB Alpha B1s would work nicely. That said, there is no reason the Klipsch SS.5s couldn't be used.
