I was just about to pull the trigger at Bestbuy today on a Dynex surge surpressor when the young fellow working there asked me if I intended on using it for both audio and video. I am, and told him so, where upon he recommended that I buy one with that separates the power supply for both audio and video components so the "plasma doesn't take all the power away from the receiver". The unit I was looking at was $110 (Canadian) and the one he recommended was also Dynex, but costs $200.
Any truth to this? I'll upgrade if it is worth it. I trust the sage advice here over the bestbuy help any day.
