Yeah...my wife had no idea who he was. My kids didn't care. My wife and I just traded looks during the show. My dog stayed comatose. It was uninspiring to say the least. When the Chilli Peppers came on stage, my oldest ask "What's wrong with him?" I tried to explain that was how they were. I couldn't really explain it.

I think they tried to appeal to two different demographics and failed.

I'm not sure what else to say. I thought the game stunk. I had no dog in the fight so the final outcome wasn't important to me. I just wanted a quality game. Didn't get one. Plus I thought the commercials were fairly uninspiring this year as well. Sigh...now it's gloom until March Madness.
1+ :D

Pretty well sums up my impressions too.

"What's wrong with him?" :D:D:D That's rich. Sounds like a smart kid. :)

By the end of the 2nd quarter all the woman were talking about the upcoming sale at Neiman-Marcus and my buddy shoots me a look like "this is your fault".

Kudos to the Seahawks but I would have preferred they won by a field goal or so, instead of that massacre we witnessed..

All the football experts had hyped Peyton for two weeks as unstoppable. I was quite happy to see them proved wrong in such a big way.

In all fairness, the pregame guys on Fox did predict the game right. All of them, except Jimmy Johnson, called Seattle over Denver. However none of them predicted a blow out.

Oh well, the real football season ended two weeks ago.

I don't think anyone realistically thought that Denver had a shot. Except for the few "well they got this far" fans... Not a very exciting game, even seahawk fans had to be slapping their heads by the 3rd quarter....

I've got the pre-game show recorded and I'll watch it in a day or two. I do this all year with ESPN's regular season pre-game show too. It gives you an interesting perspective ... you know, 20-20 being hindsight and all... about what the NFL/media/talking heads are pushing.

I like that. Ironically, I took the genetic offspring (mutations?) to a Disney movie on Sunday morning (Frozen). But I didn't tell them. I told them we were going to watch a one-time showing of a Ditka documentary. The kids looked at me with a blank stare until my wife said "The discount double-check" guy from the State Farm Insurance commercials. Then they understand..."Oh, yeah! Discount DOUOUBLE Check!"
