well, saw the movie tonight, pretty fun movie IMO,I enjoyed it,

lots of good bass scenes,

my avr kicked Dolby true HD in for the first time that I can remember.
for most movies it's DTS-HD Master Audio
both sound great for me,

many scenes reminded me of E.T.(camera shots, kid riding bike with backpack on,eyes on monster alien)

but like I said,i really enjoyed the action, the animation, and the sound.

I am very happy with the sound of my subs during this movie,

the train wreck was a great bass scene.

Didn't care for it. CGI was good, but it felt like I was watching Goonies. Didn't help that I dozed off twice during it. I thought Skyline was better, atleast it kept me awake.

Like I said before, I think part of the stumble on this one was that they paid a bit too much homage to all those movies that it reminds us of. I am sure that it was not always intentional, but I could name 10 movies it reminded me of, and that isn't always a good thing. All of us who watched in on my "movie night" enjoyed it quite a bit despite that.
