You should just get some stands for your speakers. Work on some room placement and clean things up.
IDK why you get so much crap for this. If you like the sound, you like the sound. Can't argue with that.
I have a much better idea that may happen soon this year, maybe a platform that extends the rooms width, then with the loudspeakers placed on top where it would have opportunities to place the loudspeakers at any position, any position.
Furthermore the centre channel would be free from rattling the TV as the platform would be at least a few inches above. So fitting timber to the length of the front wall and shorter lengths for the sidewalls easy, then countersink a few holes around the platform to screw it firmly into position, along with additional support at the front ether side of the TV monitor, just to take additional weight? Nothing too heavy so I have it all figured out its just finding the time to do it.
