Looking to purchase a new receiver...

5.1, powerful, good sound, etc. Somewhere in the $300 - $400 range.

The Onkyo 606 is $319 right now. A good receiver? HDMI upconverting isn't that important, but TrueHD, DTS-HD decoding is.

Good receiver for the money. There is no difference in "TrueHD, DTS-HD decoding" because its simply "unzipping" or "unpacking". Therefore, any receiver that boasts onboard decoding will do said "decoding" just as well as any other.

Its the other things that might make one receiver more desirable than another.
