Suggestions For A Subwoofer

I am looking to buy a Subwoofer for my car, I have a Dodge Neon 2000, I have an olders system installed (2003) its All Pioneer (Doors 6 1/2' -3 Chan). (Back 9" -3chan) This is my frist time buying a Subwoofer and i want to spend my money wisely... Im looking into getting 1 sub eather a 12" or 15", i was looking into buying a 2,000 max Watt or 2,500 max Watt. And im looking to buy a amp as well... I really like the Xplodes... but I dont know. If anyone could give me some good suggestions on what to buy... looking for something cheaper+long lasting.

What is your budget? In experience with 12 inch and 15 inch subs, I find that the 12's sound tighter (good for rock) than 15's. If you just want boom boom (good for rap) 15's will do well. IMO I would pass on the Sony Xplodes. Compared to Infinity or Alpine, they have no chance.
