Protip: The Energy and Athena speakers are both made by what was API (Klipsch bought API Group and discontinued the Athena line). The last series of Athena and the lower line Energy speakers used similar parts, such as the tweeter and woofers. The cabinet designs are different, I don't know if they used different x-overs.

Look at the BIC DV62-CLRS. Good bang for the buck speakers. Spend $200 on getting these, take the additional $75-100 and save additional funds for a few months and pull the trigger on a sub-woofer.

I have one doing center channel duty. It's a good speaker. The C/L/R means Center/Left/Right. So it will be fine for 2.0 operation.
