subwoofer with remote

Are there any other subwoofer that has remote other than SVS?
So far I'm thinking of 2x PB2000 pro since that's the only one I could find with remote that you could modify the settings.

I don't have my system yet, since I just retired my very old HT system and currently looking for new separate system.
I got some atmos speakers from monoprice installed.
I'm also interested in getting the emotiva C2+ and tower T2 for Front speakers.
I'm on a budget, and emotiva sounds good. SVS is a little too much but only if I can justify $

Thx

My old Klipsch RW12d sub had some remote capabilities. I don't think its as useful as using something with good bass mangement outside the sub....maybe if you're stuck with an old 2ch system the SVS feature could be interesting....

Not sure what subs have a remote as most A/V receivers control most aspects of the subwoofer and have integrated bass management functionality. But, I'm not sure what you are hoping to achieve with a subwoofer remote that isn't built into a receiver already.

After reading/watching few reviews, I find it having an app you can control the volume/EQ/profile etc.. seems convenient. This is kinda all new to me since I just retired my 30 yrd old HT system. I just learned about separates and XLR 2wks ago. Thank you for quick response.

Seems reasonable if you are looking for digital bass correction options.

Keep in mind... Once a subwoofer is setup in your room properly, you don't change things around. It is often the AV receiver which sets up the crossover and all the settings that are appropriate for a subwoofer to allow it to sound its absolute best. So, limiting your choices because a subwoofer doesn't have that feature wouldn't be the only way I would go about things.

Still, SVS is well respected, and they've put a focus on room control and proper bass management, which helps to make them a well respected and excellent choice in the industry. Velodyne and JL Audio are a couple of those companies over the years who have spent time on proper bass management with digital room correction as well. I honestly haven't looked much at them lately as SVS seems to be a much more price conscious decision. I'm not sure if anyone does it for less money than what SVS has been doing, but that's a fair question.

I agree with you. If I go with no remote I'm leaning towards to a single rythmik FVX12, more affordable. I've seen youtubers doing so much mini dsp, REW settings and it does look intimidating.

Are you using an avr or old 2ch gear without bass management?

Ps. Might also look at Hsu and Monolith among others, too

Retired my very old system. Don't have a system yet. I'm shopping for new system and speakers. I do have installed 4 atmos speakers from Monoprice, since I'm renovating my family room. Kids moved out and I own the family room again. lol

With a modern avr for your surround system, you can still generally get some remote control of the sub thru that, altho some like to just play with level directly with the sub's remote, personally never found it useful much due the control I had thru the avr already; at least with the newer amps/dsp like SVS you can at least change levels and go back to a given starting point easily (not so easily done with gain knobs on many sub amps, tho). How big a room do you have? You might check this out https://www.audioholics.com/loudspeaker-design/subwoofer-room-size

I have small family room, 14x18. The room has 2 walls only, projector wall and the right side is the fireplace wall. The other opening leads to dining room and the other is a path to the backyard. The link talks about measurement which does makes sense. I feel like I need to buy some testing devices to achieve these measurements. I'm on a tight budget and I definitely need to study a lot. I appreciate the help you guys provided and I've been watching lots of Youtube tutorials every night. Thank you

Measurement gear and software is about $100 for a measurement mic (like the miniDSP Umik-1 or 2, or the Dayton UMM-6 e.g.) and RoomEQWizard software (please donate but its freeware) and a time commitment to learning and then actually measuring. Some call this a rabbit hole :)

A modern avr generally comes with a particular type of measurement mic and a program to somewhat automatically setup your system initially, based on the measurements taken that way.
