Subwoofer setup using 2 dayton 1000W amps

I currently have two Dayton 1000W sub amps and am wondering the best way to use them between these choices...

Using the LFE preout on my receiver hooked to One amp running a single 12" or 15" subwoofer (or 2?) playing 40hz and down (or 60 hz and down? or 80 hz and down?) The other amp would be hooked up using the front L and R pre outs on the receiver (Dayton 1000W plate amp has LR inputs on it as well as the LFE, but mono speaker out obviously) Then off that amp run 4 im thinking 8" (or 10"?) woofers playing 40 hz 60hz? 80hz? up to 100hz 120hz? 140 or 160? higher?

Or am I better off to so power a single 12" off each amp resulting having just a pair of 12" or 15" running 60hz (80hz?) and down and pay more on front towers instead of smaller (but still higher end/wattage) front speakers combined with the first setup?

Thanks

A lot depends on what your main speakers are.

You're gonna be better off using identical stereo subs I'm gonna guess, splitting your LFE signal.

What driver are you considering, whats your budget? Did you just get the two daytons? Are they the plate amps, or rack mounts?
